How about the other side of that coin? To me the Coca Cola Polar Bear commercials send a terrible message. Coke is showing these cool-as-cucumber polar bears sitting around enjoying the good life, sipping cokes and watching the big football game. In years past, they were creative and enjoyable commercials, but no longer.
To me polar bears are now the perfect symbol of global warming, shrinking habitats for wildlife, and species extinction. This is probably just about the opposite of what Coca Cola wants to portray. In the coming years, polar bears will be great symbols and used in many commercials. I just don't see animated polar bears, having fun and enjoying life, working much longer for Coca Cola.
